How we recruite new members to our standardization committees in Denmark.
Danish Standards Foundation, DS, was originally founded in 1926. DS is a member of the ISO, the International Electrotechnical Committee (IEC), the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) and the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI).
Danish Standards is a private independent, non-governmental organization - a commercial foundation. Danish Standards is the officially approved national standardization organization in Denmark and offers standardization services in the range from development of standards to sale of standards and related publications including training and consultancy services. Furthermore, DS is the Danish WTO TBT Enquiry Point, according to the WTO TBT Agreement, and is also responsible for the EC information procedure concerning standards under the terms of the European regulation on standardization (1025/2012).
Furthermore, Danish Standards operates Ecolabelling Denmark, which is the Danish body for the two officially recognized ecolabels, the European "Flower" and the Nordic "Swan".
